What does purchasing software as an "Idea Generator" mean?
 

The programs listed above are already fully functional and excellent software programs for the Cabinet and Door Manufacturer, as well as for the Garage Designer.  Cabinet Pro has existed since 1986, and Door Pro since 1992.  But rather than hiring someone to research new features that should be incorporated into our programs, we would prefer suggestions from actual users of the program.

   With new users, come new ideas.  Hence, we are looking for new users to generate new ideas for our future updates.  We have offered this "Idea Generator" option for years now, and it has been well worth it for all concerned.  Our new customers get a substantial price break and have many of their own ideas incorporated into the program; our current customers benefit from our updates that reflect the changes suggested by "idea generators"; and we end up with a better program!   Purchase the Full Version of the programs listed above for substantial discounts!   In return, simply agree to USE the program and let us know of features that could be improved upon in the program, or any errors that may exist.  In addition, let us know of any enhancements or improvements you would like to see in future updates.  Because we expect our Idea Generators to very seriously use the program, and because we are offering such a large discount, there are no refunds on the purchase of the Idea Generator option.

 

What is expected of an "Idea Generator"?
 

Siskiyou Products needs cabinet makers in the field as "idea generators" to simply USE the program purchased and to report any enhancements or improvements that should be added to the program via email.  If there are any bugs in the existing program, let us know.  We ask that your email be as descriptive as you can make it when reporting suggestions or bugs.  If you use the program, and find that it is doing exactly as you wish, and that you have no suggestions, then that is okay too.

Why is the discount for U.S. companies greater than the discount for International companies?
 

It has been our experience that the greatest number of ideas for enhancing our programs has come from U.S. companies who have purchased our programs, rather than those companies residing outside the U.S.  Perhaps this has to do with the ease of communication between Siskiyou Products and other companies based in the U.S.  But for whatever reason, U.S. companies have been the most helpful.

   Approximately 40% of U.S. based companies who purchase the Idea Generator give us good feedback on areas of the program that can be enhanced and improved, compared with about 3% of those companies residing outside of the U.S.

Please remember that we are not charging the International company a greater price than we are charging the American company.  		  The regular prices of our programs are the same for both U.S. companies and non-U.S. companies.  However, this discount is, for all practical purposes, a payment for new ideas to enhance our software.  And these new ideas generally come from U.S. based companies.  Therefore, U.S. companies receive a bigger discount.

 


 

How do I accept this offer?
 

There is only one stipulation for purchasing the Idea Generator Option:

1.  That you have not previously owned Furniture Pro, Garage Pro, Cabinet Pro, Door Pro, or their trial versions.

   Fulfill Steps 1 and 2 below to sign up and purchase the program of your choice for the discount listed above.  Further, you must print out and fill out the Purchasing Agreement, which is also accessible below. Please note the refund policy for Idea Generators:   Because we expect our Idea Generators to very seriously use the program, and because we are offering such a large discount, there are no refunds on the purchase of the Idea Generator option.
